VOTE
JUSTICE OF THE PEACE, PRECINCT 4, PLACE 1
Welcome and thanks for visiting my website.
My name is Mary Abeyta and I want to be your Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4, Place 1.
Why should you vote for me? In short, because I have the Values, Experience and Understanding necessary to fairly and equally apply the law to help make Precinct 4 a model precinct. |

Values:
I am a native Texan, born in Dallas. From a young age, my mother instilled in me the values that make this country great such as integrity, respect, loyalty, equality, and justice. As an adult, I learned that these values are much more than words. They are the cornerstone of society. In order for society to function effectively, those values must be applied equally to all persons regardless of race, gender, economic status, or age. My commitment is to bring these values to Precinct 4 as your Justice of the Peace.
Experience:
In addition to the values and convictions necessary to be your Justice of the Peace, I also have the necessary qualifications and experience. For more than eighteen (18) years, I have worked for top-tier Dallas law firms. That experience has taught me many things, including (i) that the fight against injustice is for everyone, (ii) that everyone can and does make a difference, and, most importantly, (iii) that justice does not have a price or a color. In addition to my law firm experience, I am a Notary Public and I have put in several hours helping those less fortunate with organizations like the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas and Dallas Legal Hospice.
Understanding:
To really understand a person's problems, it helps to walk in his or her shoes. Although Precinct 4 is ethnically diverse, its elected officials do not currently reflect this diversity. This lack of diversity often leads to miscommunication and misunderstanding. Because I have walked in many of your shoes, I am better able to understand your problems. If elected, I will carry this understanding to the bench. Moreover, as a person living in Precinct 4, I believe in our community and in its people, especially its young people. Good representation means having an open door policy and listening to the community's needs. If elected, I promise to listen to your needs and to take the necessary action to make Precinct 4 a better place.
So let’s take this opportunity to make a change and vote. Let this be the year we increase voter turnout to an all time high. I can guarantee you professionalism, respect, integrity, one who exceeds in experience, a person who is willing to represent the people and bring peace and equality across the board to everyone. I appreciate your time and support. Vote November 7, 2006, Mary Abeyta, for Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4, Place 1.
Kind Regards,
Mary Abeyta
